To keep the device compact and lightweight, the ResMed AirMini Auto CPAP is not equipped with an integrated humidifier. A condenser humidifier offers a solution if it is desired to add humidification to CPAP therapy. Moreover, this makes carrying bulky bottles of distilled water to the holiday destination a thing of the past, very easy! Thanks to the Heat Moisture Exchange technology, heat and moisture are extracted from the exhaled air. The dry air from the device then flows through the waterless humidifier, humidifying it. This means that comfortable sleep therapy is accessible anywhere in the world, even on a plane!
Installing and replacing the HumidX F20 condenser humidifier
Each individual HumidX F20 condenser humidifier lasts up to 30 nights before needing to be replaced. Follow the steps below to replace the capsule:
- Place the HumidX F20 condenser humidifier on the inside of the AirFit F20 or AirTouch F20 mask cushion
- The HumidX F20 humidifier capsule indicates which side is left and which side is right
- Attach the HumidX F20 tablet with the ResMed logo facing the opposite side into the air inlet of the mask cushion
Some directions for using these capsules
Because a condenser humidifier is in contact with the nose and/or mouth during use (via the mask), it qualifies as a "hygiene product" that cannot be returned once it has already been received. HumidX F20 waterless humidification capsules are only suitable for use with the ResMed AirMini Auto CPAP in combination with the AirFit F20 or AirTouch F20 mask. It is not possible to use this product with a BMC M1 Mini Auto CPAP or other travel device.
